A bit about the role
We’re looking for a hands-on and forward-thinking Head of Technology to take ownership of our technology function and help shape the next phase of our growth. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact in a small but ambitious business, where tech plays a key role in everything we do.

We think you’ll need to be a people person who loves using technology to support and assist colleagues and customers, naturally building strong relationships.
Your experience will demonstrate an experienced technology leader with a strong track record in driving digital transformation and leading high-impact IT initiatives within B2C or consumer-facing organisations.

What you’ll do
Lead the strategy
- Own and evolve technology strategy aligned to business growth
- Advise leadership on risks, opportunities, and priorities
- Manage IT budget and investment decisions
Deliver and improve
- Oversee IT operations in a high-volume environment
- Drive digital transformation and automation
- Ensure scalable, secure, high-performing systems
Build the ecosystem
- Manage vendors and third-party partners
- Lead and grow the internal tech capability
- Ensure governance, compliance, and resilience
Ensure governance & compliance
- Ensure our IT governance for data security and regulatory compliance
- Manage our IT Risks and disaster planning
You would be perfect for this role
Your profile
- You’re a strategic operator – align tech with business outcomes and comfortable at leadership level but still hands-on.
- You’ve done this before – led tech in B2C / consumer platforms and delivered large-scale digital or IT programmes.
- You thrive in growing environments – fast-paced, evolving, not overly corporate and comfortable owning complexity and ambiguity.
Experience should include
- Senior IT leadership experience, ideally insurance or fintech
- Vendor and partner management
- Systems integration and platform delivery
- Strong technical foundation across development or enterprise IT
- Governance, risk and compliance awareness
